The Cold Door Hero

Summary

Li Yan Qing, burdened with responsibilities, embarks on a challenging river crossing with a group and soldiers for protection. The journey is tense due to the treacherous waters, and upon reaching the other side, they rest briefly before continuing to the Yulin region. Guided by Mo Wu Lang, they discover that the area has been depopulated for military preparations, which unsettles Li Yan Qing. Two officers, Yan Jiu Ling and Yang Lin, decide to remain at Wu Long Zhai due to exhaustion. After a long trek, they arrive at Wu Long Zhai, a fortified military city bustling with activity. Inside, they meet familiar faces, including Wang Gui, an old friend stationed there. Li Yan Qing continues to the inner fortress to meet Zhi Zhai Sun Qing, discussing their duties and the challenges faced during inspections of the Jin Ning army.
