Chapter 3: Qi Jing Chun's Gift, Yang Lao Tou's Deal! [2]
Summary
Yang Si Mu is surprised when Qi Jing Chun, a Confucian sage, calls his name and invites him for tea. They discuss the significance of a bamboo basket and a golden carp, with Qi warning Yang to be cautious of outsiders trying to buy the carp. Qi gifts Yang a landscape seal and a book, which activates a system in Yang that enhances his abilities. After leaving the village school, Yang encounters a young Taoist, Lu Chen, but avoids interaction. Back at the Yang family shop, Yang Si Mu discusses a deal with Yang Lao Tou, who agrees to help him practice boxing but is skeptical about Yang's request to save Qi Jing Chun. Yang insists it's a business transaction, and Yang Lao Tou ultimately agrees, provided Yang first seizes five major opportunities in town. The next morning, Yang Si Mu meets Wang Zhu, a maid, and reveals the truth about the Long Wang Zhu. He calls forth a golden dragon, which is bound by an iron chain. Despite the dragon's fury, Yang declares he can help untangle its karma, asserting his unique ability to resolve its troubles.Full content
