Summary

Huo Yan detects the presence of a powerful wolf pack nearby, which consists of formidable demon wolves. Despite their combat strength, Huo Yan is puzzled about their presence in the desert instead of their usual habitat. He and Lu Chen discuss their options for escape, but Huo Yan feels resigned to his fate. Lu Chen, however, believes he can escape with his wolf, A Tu, and tries to convince Huo Yan to share a secret that could help them. Initially, Huo Yan refuses, citing an oath to the Fire God. As danger approaches, Huo Yan's resolve shifts, and he swears to keep Lu Chen's secret if he can be saved. They manage to evade the wolf pack using a mysterious ancient tree hollow, but Huo Yan collapses unexpectedly after their escape.
