Summary

Lu Chen encounters an old barbarian chief, Huo Hu, who resembles his father, Huo Yan, but is weary and aged. Despite the desolate appearance of the Black Fire Tribe's camp, Lu Chen learns that Huo Hu is respected and carries the burden of leadership. Huo Yan believes Lu Chen is destined to become the tribe's priest, a role Lu Chen is reluctant to accept. As tensions rise, a commotion outside reveals A Tu, Lu Chen's wolf demon, threatening Huo Yan's son. Lu Chen intervenes to calm A Tu, while Huo Yan urges him to release the boy.
