Chapter 29: What's the Most Expensive Dish Here?. [29]

Summary

Zhang Ye, a radio host, took a leave of absence after working non-stop for a week, recording over 60 episodes of "Ghost Blows Out the Light." He had earned 300,000 prestige points and used them to buy "Memory Search Capsules" to improve his memory. Zhang Ye's colleagues were amazed by his work ethic. He reflected on why he was able to finish recording quickly, attributing it to his faster speaking speed and the show's one-hour format. Zhang Ye had four reasons for working diligently: to live up to his leader's expectations, to live up to his audience's affection, to get his bonus earlier, and because he didn't care about the first two reasons. He visited his parents, who were proud of his accomplishments, and they went out to eat at a restaurant. Zhang Ye's family was surprised by his behavior and comments.
