Summary

In this chapter, Mu Chang Geng arrives at Hamagura Village seeking refuge after a family disaster, but his true intentions are to gather intelligence or assassinate someone. Cheng Dalei, the village leader, is overly welcoming and insists on assessing Mu Chang Geng's abilities through sparring, leading to a comical series of slaps that leave Mu Chang Geng frustrated. Cheng Dalei suspects Mu Chang Geng might be a spy but decides to keep an eye on him. Meanwhile, Cheng Dalei's group successfully extorts protection fees from other leaders, while Mu Chang Geng struggles with his blacksmith duties, growing weary and questioning his mission. He begins to forget his original purpose as he adapts to village life.
