Summary

Shen Jiao recognizes Shen Xiu's jealousy despite her calm facade. Shen Jiao teases Shen Xiu about her skills, provoking a painful reaction from her sister. Zhu Bi Yue scolds Shen Jiao for her cruelty towards Shen Xiu, but Shen Jiao dismisses it, seeking support from Han Qi Xiu, who defends her aggressively. He easily overpowers the adults, leaving Shen Jia and Shen Xiu standing in shock. The adults, worried about their finances, plead with Han Qi Xiu, who counters their complaints about salaries, leading to their fearful reassurances of loyalty to the government. Shen Jia Xing, frustrated, chases them away with a broom, relieved to protect his family. Afterward, Han Qi Xiu suggests making dumplings and reveals plans to take Shen Xiu south, which surprises Shen Jiao. She feigns indifference but secretly hopes Shen Xiu stays away.
