Summary

Zhang Ye had dinner with his family, eating his mom's delicious Beijing-style fried noodles. After dinner, he went out to attend a New Year's Eve party at Cao Meng Meng's school, No. 15 Middle School. He arrived at the school, met up with Cao Meng Meng, and entered the crowded auditorium. Inside, he met Cao Meng Meng's teacher, Teacher Leng, who discussed Cao Meng Meng's poor grades and asked Zhang Ye to help. Zhang Ye promised to try his best. The party then resumed, and Zhang Ye and Cao Meng Meng found seats in the aisle due to the lack of seating. Cao Meng Meng was set to perform a recitation in the second half of the party.
