Summary

In a tense encounter, Ci threatens the protagonist, but her attack is interrupted by Manhu, a large man who refuses to let her harm Zhao’s old disciple. A fierce battle ensues between Ci and Manhu, showcasing their contrasting abilities. Despite Ci's initial confidence, she is ultimately forced to retreat, acknowledging Manhu’s strength. Grateful for Manhu's intervention, the protagonist learns of his past connection to Old Zhao. After emerging from the jungle, they part ways, and the protagonist, along with Chunhua and Qiuyue, rushes back to the Zhao residence to change before seeking news about Hu Ming’s group. They discover Hu Ming is safe at a remote inn, but the staff cannot disclose guest information without permission.
