Summary

In a tense encounter, Guo Jing expresses admiration for Temple Master Xing Jue's strength after witnessing a battle. However, he is shocked to learn that Ximen Yu, whom Xing Jue seemingly defeated, has escaped. Xing Jue warns Guo Jing about the dangers of the Illusory Soul Formation and advises him to retreat. After Guo Jing leaves, Xing Jue discovers a glowing key that connects him to the formation, revealing the locations of others trapped inside, including Ximen Yu. As he pursues Ximen Yu, he hears a mysterious voice guiding him to a palace, where he meets an elder claiming to be the City Lord of Feng Hua Cheng. The elder reveals his tragic past involving betrayal by his brothers over a treasure and the creation of the magic array. He seeks Xing Jue's help to find someone and promises safe passage out of the formation in return.
