Summary

Zhao Xin Yu, in mourning, is confronted by Zhang Ai Guo, who coldly dismisses her pleas for help. After a harsh exchange with her clan uncles, who seek to adopt a boy into her deceased husband's lineage, she is expelled from her home, left with nothing. As snow falls, she spots Zhang Ai Guo's donkey cart and pleads for his assistance. He sets three rules for her to follow if she wishes to accompany him. Despite her grief, she agrees, acknowledging the loss of her child as fate. Zhang Ai Guo provides her with warm clothing, and they plan to find an inn and new clothes, navigating a desolate city as they seek a fresh start.
