Summary

Bodhi Patriarch, the Saint of Guidance, awaited Sun Wukong at Fangcun Shan to teach him supernatural abilities for the Buddhist sect. After seven years of trials, he taught Wukong the eight-nine profound arts and the somersault cloud. Sun Wukong, now powerful, caused chaos in the Heavenly Palace, leading to his expulsion by Bodhi Patriarch. Returning to Flower Fruit Mountain, he found his kin in peril and defeated the Demon King. After befriending the Bull Demon King, he sought a weapon from the Dragon King of the East Sea, acquiring the Compliant Golden-hoop Rod and armor. However, after drinking excessively, he died and faced the underworld, furious at his treatment.
