Summary

Suzuka from Dalian Temple performs a ritual to revive her brother, who is revealed to be in a state of unconsciousness. As she calls upon the gods of the Underworld, a dark, ominous energy, referred to as black tide, begins to pour into the cave. General Cheng, sensing danger, tries to absorb this energy to protect them. As the ritual concludes, Suzuka's brother awakens but quickly reveals a malevolent nature, attacking Suzuka. General Cheng intervenes with a kick, but the brother, now transformed into a beastly form known as the White Mountain Kōjin god, retaliates. The chapter ends with General Cheng realizing the true identity of his opponent and preparing for a confrontation.
