Chapter 28: Is This the Reason You Isolated Gu Xiu? [27]

Summary

Su Ru Mei, the manager of Wan Bao Tower, is concerned about the mysterious figure Feng Bu Gui, whose background they cannot uncover. Despite her subordinate's embarrassment over the lack of information, Su Ru Mei deduces that Feng Bu Gui is likely an Independent Cultivator who has left his sect and chosen a pseudonym to hide his past. She believes he is more significant than he appears, especially since he can stand against stronger cultivators like Ren Qing. Su Ru Mei decides to treat Feng Bu Gui with respect and provide him a private carriage once he completes his Entering Dao, anticipating his potential rise in power. Meanwhile, in the Qing Xuan Sacred Land, Nian Chao Xi confronts three women, including Qin Mo Ran, about their treatment of Gu Xiu, who has returned after 500 years. The women reflect on their actions and realize they treated Jiang Xun as a substitute for Gu Xiu, which they now see as selfish. Nian Chao Xi challenges them, highlighting their neglect of Gu Xiu's sacrifices for the sect, leaving the women speechless and introspective about their choices.
