Summary

Zhou Ke resists the term "Master" used by his soldier and demands to borrow a roster from the Xuan Ming Master, appointed by the emperor. Xuan Ming, after impressively defeating various cultivators in Chang'an, gains favor with the young emperor Wu Di, who later falls gravely ill. Xuan Ming performs a ritual, revives the emperor, and uncovers a plot against him. Wu Di, enraged, punishes the conspirators and rewards Xuan Ming, who then tries to exert control over the Tiger Cavalry, causing friction with Zhou Ke.
