Summary

In the evening at the foot of a mountain, Pei Qi Qi instructs Nie Tian to stop and rest as he is exhausted. They find a serene stream, and Pei Qi Qi reveals a secret stronghold of the Blood Skull nearby, which can provide safety from their pursuers. Despite being an outsider, she knows about the stronghold due to her connection with Cai Yuan, a high-ranking member of the Blood Skull. After entering the water and stowing away the Green Jade ring, they activate the stronghold's formation. Once inside, Pei Qi Qi, wet and vulnerable, commands Nie Tian to turn away as she changes clothes, leading to a mix of tension and attraction between them.
