Summary

The story unfolds with a merchant named Dong Jia, who is pleased with his cargo as he navigates the river towards the capital of the Qi Kingdom. Upon arrival, he faces discontent from his young rowers regarding their wages, which he underpays, leading to resentment. Meanwhile, five young men regroup after evading soldiers and share their experiences. They find a marker indicating a meeting point and enter the city, where they reunite with Captain Feng, who reprimands them for their loudness. In a separate scene, Yuan Gang refuses to create a private room for Madam Qin's visits to their tofu shop, despite pressure from Shopkeeper Gao, who emphasizes the importance of maintaining face in their social dealings.
