Summary

Tang Yi awakens in pain, realizing he must stay alert despite the danger of Japanese pirates nearby. His friend Xu San, overjoyed at his recovery, has been appointed as an inspector and is eager to protect Tang Yi. Despite Xu San's lack of experience, he is determined to repay Tang Yi's kindness. Tang Yi urges Xu San to leave with him to Suzhou for safety, but Xu San insists on staying to defend Baimao Town. Tang Yi pleads with him not to be reckless, recalling a promise made to Xu San's family. Xu San, however, remains resolute, willing to risk everything for his master, showcasing loyalty and bravery in the face of overwhelming odds.
