Summary

Liu Chen and A Tu venture deeper into the ominous Evil Python Valley, where they notice an unusual absence of venomous creatures, which seem to be fleeing in the direction they came from. Liu Chen reflects on the recent brutal events in the barbarian tribe and feels a sense of unease. As they navigate the valley, Liu Chen senses a lurking danger, realizing that a true enemy is still pursuing them. The terrain proves challenging, but the snakes and insects continue to retreat from Liu Chen's half-broken Fire God Staff, giving them a false sense of security. However, they are soon ambushed by a group of demonic sect assassins, who are more ferocious than the previous ones. Despite their inferior combat strength, the assassins' madness complicates Liu Chen's escape. As night falls, Liu Chen manages to shake off his pursuers but knows they will return with greater numbers. Exhausted and injured, he pushes towards Longchuan River, believing it to be his escape route. Just as he relaxes his guard, he is struck by a powerful sword aimed at his vital points. A Tu intervenes but is gravely injured in the process, leaving Liu Chen in a dire situation.
