Summary

In a dark and damp outhouse, Shan Hong experiences a terrifying moment when he discovers a skinned corpse, identified as a Xue Shi, hanging above him. Panicked, he rushes out, revealing his fear to Ning Qiushui. Despite his terror, Shan Hong reluctantly agrees to help Ning Qiushui retrieve the body. They bring the corpse to the kitchen, where Liu Chengfeng and Shen Wei Wei are shocked by the gruesome find. The group deduces that the corpse belongs to Fa Hua Xiao He Shang, who was missing. Ning Qiushui concludes that the monk was killed recently, and the skinning was done by a human, not a ghost, heightening their horror and dread.
