Summary

Sun Cheng Ru, focused on court politics, learns that the Right Minister, Liu Sui Feng, is gravely ill and has made a deal with Zuo Xiang for his family's safety. As Sun Cheng Ru visits him, he questions Liu about his illness and the mysterious Golden Core he took, which has improved his condition. Despite Liu's reluctance to fight back against Zuo Xiang due to the long-standing rivalry, Sun Cheng Ru proposes a deal: if he can find the healer Sun Shen Yi, Liu must promise to resist Zuo Xiang for the future of Great Xia. Liu agrees to fight if he can extend his life for another year.
