Chapter 27: The Encounter of Ice Cream and Chocolate. [26]
Summary
In this chapter, Maki Miyazawa feels sluggish and reluctant to accompany Sawayama Haruno to buy snacks, questioning the logic of eating ice cream before a meal. Haruno cheerfully insists on getting ice cream from a nearby convenience store, where Maki quickly chooses her flavor and indulges, playfully getting messy with her ice cream. As they share a meal at a crowded restaurant, Maki struggles with the atmosphere and her appetite, prompting Sawayama to suggest ordering soba noodles that they share. After their meal, they head to a shopping mall where Maki's mood brightens upon entering a snack shop filled with colorful candies and chocolates. As she enthusiastically collects snacks, Sawayama prepares to leave to meet one of Maki's classmates, unaware that someone is following Maki as she steps onto an escalator in search of cosmetics. The chapter explores themes of friendship and the small joys of life amidst personal discomfort.Full content
