Chapter 267: The First Unequal Treaty. [267]

Summary

The chapter describes a group of prodigal sons who were initially seen as troublemakers, but after talking to Wang Ning An, they were tasked with negotiating an agreement with Li Ri Zun to help him ascend to the throne. Wang Ning An then used ruthless tactics, including forcing farmers into debt and taking their land and property, to benefit the Great Song kingdom in its alliance with Jiaozhi. The treaty allowed the Great Song to gain preferential access to Jiaozhi's land, resources, and labor, as well as lease its seaport for 50 years.
