Summary

In a chaotic land, Shan Fei and Wu Qing encounter numerous corpses on their journey, prompting Shan Fei to bury the dead to prevent disease. They discover a floating woman in the river, initially thought to be dead, but Shan Fei realizes she is alive after checking her pulse. They suspect she was attacked and may be a maid from a wealthy family. As they tend to her, three men approach, claiming to seek the maid from the Gu Family. Shan Fei questions their intentions, suspecting foul play. The woman, Xia Ga Lan, insists she is not from the Gu Family and reveals the men are killers. Tension escalates when one of the men strikes Shan Fei, leading to a confrontation.
