Summary

Mei Lun experiences a moment of awakening after reading a text multiple times, feeling joy and clarity. He finds himself in an empty library, which disintegrates as he touches the bamboo slips. Escaping the library, he senses a connection with his companion, Little Hong Lian, and perceives a cluster of worlds, identifying the Mountain and Sea Realm at its core. Drawn by a pearl from the Turtle Immortal, he enters this realm, where he feels a nurturing force. Suddenly, he sees Little Liu Li, who is being pulled towards the center of the world cluster, causing concern for her safety. Mei Lun realizes their paths are diverging but feels reassured by Liu Li's message about her safety. He then awakens in a small, familiar apartment and recalls his past life as an orphan who aspired to become a police officer to protect others. In this new world, he assesses his situation, noting that his physical appearance is a false creation of the pearl, while his true self remains hidden. He explores this ordinary technological world, discovering its lack of transcendent beings. Mei Lun begins to train physically while suppressing his powers, planning to find local transcendent beings. He resolves to address issues at the orphanage and starts his first day as a police officer in Jin Hai City, assigned to the He Gu District Branch. After a warm welcome, he meets his mentor, Yu Zhen Dong, and learns about the local police system. Mei Lun visits the orphanage, where he learns about troubles from the Dragon Tooth Society, led by the formidable Long Wu. Under Yu Zhen Dong's guidance, Mei Lun begins his patrols, quickly gaining respect from the community, and successfully resolves disputes. After two days, he receives his official police badge number, granting him access to the police network.
