Summary
The Gao Family's estate was divided into three main sections, with the northern section serving as the main residence. Gao Lu Hang, the eldest son, lived in the eastern section. He was engaged to Princess Dong Yang, a member of the royal family, which was in the best interest of the Gao Family. However, a scandal surfaced, revealing the princess's involvement with a man from a humble background. Despite this, Gao Lu Hang decided to forgive her and proceed with the marriage. His father, Gao Shi Lian, was initially hesitant but eventually agreed, seeing the benefits of forming an alliance with the imperial family. Meanwhile, a rumor spread about the Gao Family's past involvement in the Xuanwu Gate Incident, which killed many people. Gao Lu Hang was not concerned, believing that retribution should have happened long ago. As the night watchmen patrolled the streets, a mysterious figure, Zheng Xiao Lou, emerged from a drainage ditch and snuck past the guards, making his way to the Gao Family's mansion. He climbed the southern wall, using his agility and stealth to avoid detection.Full content
