Chapter 260: The Flaws of Human Nature. [260]
Summary
Ye Tian affectionately greets a dusty little boy and gestures to Li Xiao Jing, who is hesitant about revealing a piece of calligraphy she holds. Adults from the slums gather, eyeing the calligraphy with interest, while Ye Tian realizes the danger posed by their intentions. Despite Li Xiao Jing's knowledge of its value, Ye Tian encourages her to show it, leading to disappointment from the crowd when they deem it worthless. An uncle's disrespectful behavior towards Li Xiao Jing causes her distress, but Ye Tian reassures her about the calligraphy. They enter a dilapidated building in the slums, where Li Xiao Jing’s younger sister, Li Mo Ran, awaits. Ye Tian is moved by their hardship and feels compelled to help despite his initial reluctance.Full content
