Summary

In Chapter 26, a monstrous creature called the Devil's Flower, reminiscent of a carnivorous plant, attacks Li Nuo and his group, releasing a foul odor. They learn its origins from the "Final Fantasy" series and strategize to defeat it after discovering an injured resistance fighter. Emil arrives at the resistance camp with another injured soldier, triggering a side quest that unexpectedly increases in difficulty but also offers better rewards. As the group prepares for battle, they devise a plan involving distractions and coordinated attacks. During the fight, they manage to injure the Devil's Flower, but just as Li Nuo throws a spiritual orb at it, a familiar figure, 2B from "NieR: Automata," emerges from the creature.
