Chapter 26: Black Charcoal. [25]

Summary

In the narrative, 'Hei Tan' is a notably lazy and overweight dragon steed, contrasting sharply with its more vigorous peers. While other dragon steeds exhibit speed and energy, 'Hei Tan' lumbers along at a slow pace, making it seem more like a regular horse. Despite its shortcomings, including a peculiar diet that consists solely of seafood, 'Hei Tan' has survived numerous calamities due to being overlooked by cultivators. Luo Zhen, who has cared for 'Hei Tan' for years, shares a close bond with it. Miao Yi, upon trying to ride 'Hei Tan,' finds its sluggishness frustrating yet amusing, ultimately recognizing its unique traits. The chapter concludes with Miao Yi settling into life at the Floating Light Cave, where he feels somewhat forgotten yet continues to cultivate and tend to 'Hei Tan.'
