Summary

In a dilapidated town on the grasslands, known for its banditry and vice, Cheng Dalei encounters a gambler and a slaughterer. The gambler insists on a life-or-death gamble, leading to a game of dice. Cheng Dalei proposes a more engaging challenge, and after a tense exchange, he manages to outsmart the slaughterer using a poisoned umbrella, killing him. The gambler, shocked by the turn of events, attempts to regain control but ultimately backs down, leaving Cheng Dalei victorious. Exhausted and feeling unwell, Cheng Dalei is helped by Li Wan'er as he collapses into the carriage.
