Summary

A terrifying pounding echoed from the door as Lu Nanshang, blood-soaked and skinless, begged Liu Chengfeng to open it, claiming he needed to find his skin before dawn to survive. He recounted a nightmare where a figure in a blood-red robe peeled off his skin. Ning Qiushui revealed that Lu Nanshang had eaten cursed meat porridge, unlike another who had spat it out. Realizing the urgency, Lu Nanshang left to find the source of his plight. Meanwhile, Ning Qiushui and Liu Chengfeng speculated that the peeled skins were intended for monk's robes, linking the eerie events to a supernatural belief in merit and sacrifice.
