Summary

Li Xiu Er, a disciple of the Jadeite Cliff, encounters a vendor selling black-hearted lotuses. The vendor, initially arrogant due to her status, quickly changes his demeanor when she assesses the quality of his lotuses, which are inferior due to poor harvesting and storage. Despite their vibrant appearance, Li Xiu Er determines they are worth only twenty spirit crystals each. She decides to buy one hundred lotuses and negotiates for a better price. While inspecting the lotuses, she discovers a rare vine that could lead to the discovery of a Dragon Vein, a valuable asset for alchemy. After some bargaining, she agrees to purchase one hundred and fifteen lotuses and some herbs, asking the vendor about his harvesting location. He reveals a hidden gorge where they gather herbs, and she leaves to return to the Jadeite Cliff, satisfied with her purchases.
