Summary

Li Yan Qing returns to the now quiet Li Wen Village, reflecting on the changes brought by Bao Yan Zhai, as many villagers have relocated for work. He is saddened by the recent death of Da Hei and the transformation of the village. Upon arriving home, he is greeted by Sister Ju, who has prepared his favorite breakfast. They share a heartfelt moment, with Sister Ju expressing guilt over not informing him of her marriage. Li Yan Qing reassures her, emphasizing his happiness for her. After breakfast, he heads to Tang Wang Village to collect his books delivered by boat. On the way, he encounters Wang Gui and Tang Yuan Er, who is eager for Wang Gui to propose to her. They joke about their situation before heading to the dock together. At the dock, Li Yan Qing retrieves his books and arranges for them to be delivered to his village. Wang Gui expresses his understanding of Li Yan Qing's foresight in preparing for potential future conflicts, planning to persuade his grandfather to secure land in the south as a precaution.
