Summary

Lu Ni finally ascends to the second floor of the Thunder Temple, where he encounters Mei Lun, whose calm demeanor impresses him. After evolving into a Storm Giant and achieving sainthood, Lu Ni maintains a friendship with Mei Lun but feels a slight superiority until he realizes Mei Lun has also mastered saint-level power. As they journey through the chaotic desert, they send Jia Lu Lu to scout for resources while avoiding the core area. They discover a large number of Doggie clones, which perplexes Lu Ni as their cursed Crystal indicates fewer targets. The Doggie clones, although generally strong, seem to be part of a unified force, resisting Lu Ni's powerful storm domain. As Lu Ni engages in battle, he notices that the clones grow stronger with each defeat. Meanwhile, Mei Lun stealthily investigates a dark red mass of flesh buried in the sand, which contains a supernatural blade that is attempting to fuse with a Doggie. The blade, awakened by Mei Lun, reveals its desire for a stronger host and proposes a contract in exchange for a saint's body. Mei Lun argues that finding such a body is impossible, but the blade's reluctance to switch hosts indicates a potential for negotiation. Tensions rise as Mei Lun prepares to force the blade to cooperate if necessary.
