Summary

In a tense atmosphere, Mei Wen confronts Chai Shan after an accusation, leading to a heated exchange. Chai Shan, feeling uneasy, avoids Room No. 3 and opts for Room No. 2. As night falls, candles are placed in each room by a monk, but Chai Shan notices his candle is shorter than before, signaling potential danger. He attempts to gather more candles from other rooms, but finds them dark and empty. In a moment of desperation, he enters Room No. 3, seizing a candle, unaware of the lurking shadows behind him. With two candles secured, he feels a twisted satisfaction, contemplating the demise of others to ensure his own safety.
