Summary
Liu Zhi is astonished by the new emperor's intellect compared to Liu Zhuang. A monk, Guang Xiao, warns him about the imminent collapse of the Fang Shi sect, despite its revival by Guang Ren. Liu Zhi contemplates the fate of the Great Han and seeks Guang Xiao's insight, but grows disinterested in vague answers. Guang Xiao leaves, and a group in a carriage, including Gui Bu Gui, discusses his recent encounter with the emperor. They speculate on the changing winds of fate. Meanwhile, a white-bearded old man washes ashore, struggling to recall his identity and past events involving Xu Fu.
