Summary

Xiahou Hui receives a letter from his wife, Wang Yuan Ji, informing him that she has given birth to a healthy boy and has given him the nickname Qu Ji. He also receives letters from his fourth brother, Xiahou Wei, and his eldest brother, Xiahou Heng, which discuss family matters and recent events in the capital, Luoyang. Xiahou Heng's letter reveals that Emperor Cao Rui has traveled to Xuchang to expand the palace, and that there are power struggles between Cao Shuang, Qin Lang, and Xiahou Xian. Xiahou Hui is concerned about Sima Zhao's sudden closeness to Cao Zhao and wonders if Sima Shi is involved. He decides to wait and observe, knowing that outsiders can influence the internal power struggles within the Xiahou and Cao families.
