Summary

Xu Wan Qing returns to the Xu Clan, greeted by respectful disciples but feeling the weight of despair due to a curse affecting her and her entire clan, known as the Void Wax Stone. This curse forces them into a state of constant fear and suffering, as any misstep leads to severe punishment. Xu Wan Qing desperately seeks a solution, hoping to consult her master, who is unavailable, and her Little Junior Brother, Jiang Xun, who is at Spirit Beast Peak. Despite her reluctance, she rushes there after learning about the injury of her Seventh Junior Sister, Lu Qing Yao. Upon arrival, she discovers Lu Qing Yao is in a dire state, her body being devoured by a demon beast. Xu Wan Qing realizes the need for a temporary body for Lu Qing Yao's Nascent Soul and, after some deliberation with Jiang Xun, they select a suitable puppet.
