Chapter 25: Cooperation. [235]
Summary
Sun Pang Zi and Huang Ran discuss a troubling situation involving the church, where two police officers have died under mysterious circumstances. Sun Pang Zi, frustrated with the lack of information, insists they need to investigate in person. Huang Ran reveals the officers' deaths were caused by physical trauma, suggesting a deeper issue within the church beyond spirits. After some banter and a bet on lifting a prohibition order, they receive good news that allows them to move freely. However, Martin, a U.S. agent, pressures them to assist in resolving the church incident due to the ongoing danger. They agree to help but demand that police officers be removed from the church to avoid complications. Upon arrival, they find the church deserted, and Huang Ran requests various items for their investigation, hinting at traditional practices that might be necessary to uncover the truth.Full content
