Summary

Lu Chen, still recovering from his wounds after fleeing Kunwu City, decides to take the powerful black wolf A Tu as his steed for their journey southward. Upon reaching the foot of Dragon Tiger Mountain, they encounter Xue Ying, the leader of the Floating Cloud Division, who blocks their path. Recognizing Lu Chen, she warns him about the dangers he faces after his actions in Kunwu City and suggests that his death might be preferable to endangering others. Despite her cold demeanor and the tension between them, Lu Chen asserts his desire to live and experience the light, challenging her view on shadows. After a brief standoff, Xue Ying allows him to pass, but their encounter leaves a lasting impression on both.
