Summary

Yuan Zhou asked Ma Mr. if they were making chicken soup, but Ma Mr. replied impatiently that they were not. Yuan Zhou then offered to find the ingredients himself, but Ma Mr. refused, saying it wasn't worth exchanging his cooking for just two bowls of noodles. Ma Mr. scolded Yuan Zhou, calling him a "smelly kid" and saying that having talent didn't mean anything. Yuan Zhou left, but later returned to his host's house, where the old man complimented Yuan Zhou's cooking, saying it was better than Ma Mr.'s. The old man asked Yuan Zhou to cook again for them sometime, and Yuan Zhou agreed. The conversation then turned to the old man's grandson, who had red spots on his face, which Yuan Zhou suspected might be an allergic reaction. The old man said it was a congenital condition that some children in the village had, and that it might clear up as the child grew older. Yuan Zhou examined his own face in a mirror and noticed that the red spots had almost completely disappeared, thanks to the effects of bee products. The next morning, the little boy apologized to Yuan Zhou for being rude the day before, and Yuan Zhou noticed that the little boy had the same red spots on his face that Yuan Zhou had. Yuan Zhou reassured the little boy that the spots were normal and didn't look bad, and that they might disappear eventually.
