Summary

Zhang Xuan, after a brief farewell to General Xin, rides a common horse to the Tian Si Ge Tavern, where he searches for his friends, Qin Qiong and others. The tavern is bustling, and after some inquiry, he finds them on the second floor, where they are drinking and having fun. They discuss the upcoming Hero Gathering organized by the Ministry of War, which offers honorary titles but no real positions. As they prepare to leave, Zhang Xuan notices a group of men, including a scar-faced individual, who he recognizes as Liang Shi Dou, a former enemy from the North Sea incident. Concerned about their intentions, Zhang Xuan instructs Wei Chi Gong to eliminate a follower trailing them. The chapter ends with Zhang Xuan contemplating the motives of the men, who appear to have their own agenda.
