Chapter 24: Jade. [77]
Summary
In a tense encounter, Shao Yi Yi expresses her displeasure to the narrator by giving him a pouch meant for Wu Ren Di, which contains a low-quality jade pendant. As the narrator grapples with the implications, he learns that Wu Ren Di has been absent from classes. He seeks help from Yang Xiao, who becomes suspicious upon seeing the jade token. After some back and forth, Yang Xiao demands to know who gave the pendant, but the narrator claims ignorance. After reluctantly taking the token back, Yang Xiao seems preoccupied, leaving the narrator relieved to be free of the situation. The story concludes with a humorous scene involving Sun Fatty, who is playfully teasing female classmates while occupying a restroom.Full content
