Summary

An Zheng returns to Nanshan Street Tavern to find Aunt Ye, feeling confused by the calmness after the chaos of Chen Pu's death. Unbeknownst to him, a scholar had eliminated 200709 bandits without bloodshed. An Zheng, along with Du Shou Shou and Zhong Jiu Ge, discusses their plans and personal aspirations. Ye Da Niang, the tavern owner, approaches them, and An Zheng feels a mix of caution and intrigue. Their conversation reveals An Zheng's request for help in cleansing their marrow, leading to a deal with Aunt Ye involving protection for her son, Seven Paths.
