Chapter 24: Dead People Are Usually Good People. [676]

Summary

Leng Ping and Wang Zhou plan to overthrow He Yuan Wu, who seeks to avoid conflict with the Tashih people by waiting for them and Tie Xin Yuan to weaken each other. Leng Ping, seeing He Yuan Wu's intentions, decides to kill him to regain control and reorganize the mercenaries. He enlists the help of Tibetan, Western Xia, and Khitan warriors by offering gold, persuading them to join the fight against He Yuan Wu's forces. Despite He Yuan Wu's attempts to destroy resources and mock Leng Ping, Leng Ping remains resolute, driven by orders from the king and the need to act before a major battle with Mu Xin. He Yuan Wu accuses Leng Ping of betrayal, but Leng Ping acknowledges the harsh realities of their situation and prepares to face the consequences of his actions.
