Summary

Tie Xin Yuan attempts to pass food to Bao Zi through a fence, but a prison guard intervenes, mocking them and kicking the food away. Tie Xin Yuan bribes the guard with silver for better treatment and food for Bao Zi. Despite the guard's cruelty, Tie Xin Yuan maintains a facade of politeness. Bao Zi recounts his tragic story of burying his mother and being imprisoned for killing seven people in revenge. Tie Xin Yuan contemplates how to help Bao Zi escape his fate. Meanwhile, Qiao Ge spies on a secretive meeting involving a Khitan man and a Japanese woman, revealing a complex plot.
