Summary

Half a month after a meteorite impact, the environment has deteriorated, with darkness enveloping the land and vegetation wilting. He Xiao and Zhan Wei, equipped with flashlights, venture out for supplies. He Xiao seeks metal materials while Zhan Wei looks for food and seeds. They split up in a dilapidated town, where Zhan Wei encounters a giant rat, injuring her in the process. Despite the pain, she manages to gather seeds.
