Summary

Chu Tian, aboard the Qing Yun Boat, realizes he has flown past the Jade Cliff and turns back, admiring the serene landscape of the Windless Gorge. The gorge is sheltered by stone peaks, creating a pleasant climate and an orderly environment, thanks to the five major families. As he approaches the Jade Cliff, he sees Hu Da Li, a tiger demon, playfully chasing a bird. Suddenly, a petite Maide is pursued by four streaks of light, and despite her attempts to escape using her furnace, she is struck by lightning from the protective formation of the Jade Cliff. Injured, she pleads for forgiveness as the pursuers reveal they are capturing her as a runaway slave. Chu Tian recognizes the Maide as Baihe, the Master’s true disciple, recalling her from a dream.
