Chapter 233: To Repay the Debt, I Can Only Sell Myself (1/2) [233]
Summary
Hess storms off in anger after losing a potential family member, Kobayashi, who remains indifferent to the situation. Bei Er tries to understand Hess's emotions, while Ai Na expresses disbelief at Kobayashi's calm demeanor. They plan to celebrate Kobayashi joining a family, but Mi Xia, Ai Na's friend, interrupts, teasing Ai Na about her intentions with Kobayashi. After some playful banter, Kobayashi leaves to prepare for expeditions, ensuring he has enough resources. He encounters Ai Si, the sword maiden, who retrieves her broken sword and learns about the high cost of its repair. Kobayashi repays his debt to Gu Bo Niu, the ancient god and blacksmith, but is misunderstood when Liu Zi jokingly claims he sold himself for the money. The gods hold a meeting to discuss newly promoted adventurers, and amidst the chaos, they learn about Kobayashi's connection to Wu La Nuo Si. Loki seizes the opportunity to introduce Kobayashi's exploits and suggests the nickname "The Binder," which is accepted by the gods.
