Summary
Su Qi returns home after a meal at the hospital cafeteria and is soon confronted by her neighbor, Jiang Mu, who comes to apologize for her daughter's earlier behavior. Jiang Mu offers Su Qi a large basket of thirty eggs as a peace offering, but Su Qi declines, sensing there is more to the gesture. After closing the door on Jiang Mu, the latter returns home, frustrated. Her daughter, Jiang Nian, criticizes her for trying to appease Su Qi and expresses disdain for the eggs. Jiang Mu, feeling the pressure of her daughter's unemployment, suggests that Su Qi could help Jiang Nian find a job at the hospital due to her impressive skills and connections.
